The ice cream social is a great way to kick off the Rendezvous, because you can get reacquainted with old friends, make new friends, and see great cars. This also a chance to pick up your packet for the weekend.

To celebrate the Rendezvous's 50th anniversary, we're adding a special event Friday June 12: a two-hour buffet lunch cruise on Lake George aboard the steamboat Lac du Saint Sacrement, operated by the Lake George Steamboat Co. Your Rendezvous chauffeurs will provide route sheets for the scenic drive to and from our Malta hotel. We'll be back in plenty of time for Friday evening's pizza party registration meet and greet.The cost is $65 per person, added to your registration fee. A modest gratuity and parking fee are payable the day of the event. Departure from Malta: approximately 10:30am Boarding begins: 11am Cruise departure: 12pm _You must register by May 27 to join this excursion._

This is your first chance to check out our new event hotel. We'll have pizza and packet pickup in the lobby, and you can take advantage of the Hyatt bar if you want to relax and imbibe with *amis*. If pizza isn't your thing, dinner options include the hotel, and nearby restaurants in Malta. Of course, you may have an old favorite in Saratoga Springs.

This is, of course, the main event. Everyone has their own approach, whether it's examining each car in minute detail, hunting for all the parts on your list from our great group of vendors, or just hanging out. We'll have breakfast options, including coffee, tea, juice, pastries, and bagels to get you started. We've observed that the well prepared often have chairs, an umbrella or awning to escape the sun, and perhaps some refreshments. The folks at Lakeside farms have a great selection of lunch options, and strawberries are in season!\nOh, yes, and don't forget to vote for the People's Choice awards!

Thanks to all the people who donate items for the silent auction! It's a great chance for you to get some cool stuff, and it helps the Rendezvous by being a fund raiser. Sold to the highest bidder!\nWe really appreciate donations! It's great if they're Citroen- or France-related, but it's not essential. If items are unsold, we return them to the donors.\nSorry, but we can't accept alcoholic beverages for the auction.

We have a bit of a break between the close of showtime and the banquet. The event hotel is quite a bit closer this year, so if you're staying at the Hyatt, it's even an opportunity to have a little snooze.

The Lakeside folks prepare a lovely meal for us, featuring barbequed ribs and chicken, mac & cheese, various sides, and of course, strawberry shortcake and pies for dessert. After dinner, we have the presentation of the People's Choice awards, as well as the results of the silent auction.

Every car is a gem in its own way, but there's no denying that some are standouts. This is our chance to see if out take on the cars lines up with everyone else's, or whether we had a soft spot for that rusty D that no-one else did.
